Hello, my name is Joi Mondisa and I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial & Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. My teaching and research interests focus on engineering management and operations and engineering education and mentoring research. Specifically, my mentoring research focuses on mentoring relationships and intervention programs which includes examining and understanding mentoring approaches and experiences in higher education, designing and assessing learning experience, and increasing diversity in higher education.
I have ten years industry experience in the areas of manufacturing, operations, technical sales, and publishing. Also, I am a member of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and co-founder and president of the No Longer Forgotten Network (NLFN), a 501c3 non-profit organization serving renal patients and providing educational opportunities for girls and minorities.
